Major Godfrey Ngawa was sent to Nkhata Bay expecting a large church because he was told there already was an Associate Pastor. The church was actually very small and he found that people in Nkhata Bay are hard to reach. He was getting disappointed. Nkata Bay is like Vegas, sin city. The DCI Team began training some pastors at this time and pastor Godfrey was one of them. He discovered that the one on one discipling made it possible to reach these hard-to-reach people with the Gospel. His church began to grow, he started training leaders and Life  Groups were established. He also planted churches over the next half year in neighbouring villages.
